Moon Gardening
All crops that produce their yield above ground should be planted durning the waxing or increasing moon (from new moon to full moon). The first week (between new moon and first quarter) is best for crops producing seeds on the outside such as asparagus, broccoli, cabbage, cauliflower, celery, lettuce, parsley, spinach. The second week (between the first quarter and full moon) is best for crops bearing inside the fruit such as tomatoes, beans, cucumbers, peppers and melons.
All crops that produce their yield in the ground (root crops) such as carrots, onions, beets, radishes, turnips should be planted in the waning or decreasing moon (from full moon to new moon), preferably during the first week.
Do not plant on the day of a full moon or new moon.
