WORKDAY - SATURDAY, AUGUST 14, 8:00 TO 11:00 AM

There will be an organized work day this Saturday from 8-11 am. Alan Marburger and Sharon Flournoy are in charge, and there will be coffee and doughnuts in the trailer. The main project is to finish clearing out branches and weeds from the fence line on the south side of the gardens. Bring loppers and clippers, wear long sleeves and gloves and sunscreen. The earlier you come, the more pleasant it will be! There will also be other projects to do, if this is not your fancy. Get a head start on your fall hours.

The zone coordinators have planned about two organized work days a month for the fall season. Other dates will be announced in the Weekly Weeder.

With the beginning of the fall gardening season, several plots have become vacant, and we have several new gardeners at Sunshine Community Gardens. If you see some new faces in your area, please introduce yourself and make the newcomers welcome.
