DIRECTORS ELECTION

We will be voting on candidates for three Director positions for the Sunshine Community Gardens Board of Directors. So far, Ila Falvey, Nancy Seibert, and Linda Booker have submitted their names to the nominating committee.

Directors serve for two-year terms. Director elections and officer elections are held on alternate years.



Opportunity for Part-Time Gardening Teacher

Del Valley ISD - Smith Elementary School


They are looking for a teacher for afterschool and summer gardening programs for Smith Elementary School students.

The plan is to have a class that encompasses more than just gardening but extends to recycling, conservation, healthy living – basically for students to make more conscious decisions on how they can impact their surroundings. The aim will be for all the kids to have a bed of their own where they would be able to take all of their crops home to their family. The summer class is June 1-28, from 7am-12pm, M-Thurs and the pay would range from $10-16 depending on experience.
